Der Achtungserfolg des Debüts "The Boat of Thoughts" (Sireena 2051) veranlasste Sky Records, OCTOPUS für ein weiteres Album ins Studio zu schicken. Die zu maritimen Themen neigende Band beschäftigt sich auch auf „An Ocean Of Rocks“ mit mystischen Meeresgeschichten. So wird etwa in dem Titel „Octopus – The Survivor of Atlantis“ die Unterwasserreise eines Atlantis-Besuchers beschrieben, der unverhofft eine Welt voller Frieden und Freude entdeckt. Schon wie beim Debüt gibt Jennifer Hensel dem spannungsreichen konzertanten Rock ihre aussergewöhnliche Stimme. Die Frankfurter Rundschau bezeichnet sie zu Recht als eine „motorisch und musikalisch gleich begabte Sängerin“. The moderate success of the debut "The Boat of Thoughts" (Sireena 2051) prompted Sky Records, sending OCTOPUS into the studio for another album. The band went on with maritime issues on "An Ocean Of Rocks" - with mystical sea stories. - For example, in the title "Octopus - The Survivor of Atlantis " is descripted the underwater journey of an ATLANTIS visitor who finds a world full of peace and joy.. Jennifer Hensel again gave the songs her extraordinary voice. The record is full of musical diversity, there are escalating atmospheric keyboard passages and guitar solos. Prog pure! "An Ocean Of Rocks" opened the band many doors , so they were invited to play big open air festivals and became more and more successful.
