Die Band hat sich von Anfang an dem Power-Rock/Metal verschrieben und wurde 1980 von Frontmann Ritchie Wilhelm gegründet. Nun legen PROTZ ihr Debütalbum vor! Mit ihrem harten und melodischen Energie-Rock erspielte sich PROTZ eine jahrzehntelange und bis heute ungewöhnlich treue Fangemeinde. Sehr erfolgreich waren Auftritte auf verschiedensten Festivals wie dem Wacken Open Air oder G.O.N.D. Aber auch über die Grenzen Deutschlands hinaus, wie dem Südtiroler Alpen Flair, begeisterten die Power-Rocker aus Hessen ihr Publikum. Nicht zu vergessen, Konzerte mit namhaften Bands wie Girlschool, Nitrogods, Helloween, Eisbrecher etc. Auch nicht zu vergessen, wie PROTZ 2003 den »Rock und Pop Preis« in Hamburg abräumte. Zitat eines Juroren: »Das ist mal ne Mucke!« Einzige Kritik: Für einen Nachwuchswettbewerb sei die Band zu professionell. Damit ließ sich aus Sicht der Musiker natürlich bestens leben.

Im Laufe der Jahre kam es immer wieder zu Umbesetzungen, bis sich schließlich das heutige und wohl idealste Line-Up von PROTZ herauskristallisierte.

“Gut Ding braucht Zeit”, sagte sich die Band und ließ die Fans lange auf das erste Album warten. Aber nun ist es da! 10 Knaller hat “In Dog We Trust” vorzuweisen, ein wahres Powerpaket!

Dedicated to power rock/metal from the start, the band was formed in 1980 by frontman Ritchie Wilhelm. Now PROTZ present their debut album! With their hard and melodic energy rock, PROTZ has garnered an unusually

loyal fan base that has lasted for decades. Performances at various festivals such as Wacken Open Air or G.O.N.D. But also beyond the borders of Germany, like the South Tyrolean Alpen Flair, the power rockers from Hesse inspired their audience. Not to forget concerts with well-known bands such as Girlschool, Nitrogods, Helloween, Eisbrecher, etc. Not to forget how PROTZ scooped the “Rock and Pop Prize” in Hamburg in 2003. Quote from a juror: »That`s really a piece of music!« The only criticism: the band is too professional for a young talent competition. From the point of view of the musicians, of course, it was easy to live with that. Over the years, there were repeated line-up changes, until finally today`s and probably most ideal line-up of PROTZ emerged.
